Time Codes

Image
time code divides up time for tv tv one second = 25 frames PAL (phase alternating line ) UK standard 25fps - 2 fields per frame 50 fields per second TC shoot 1:00:00 =1 hours - set to this and it records form the first frame TC shoot TOD - Time of day eg 18:52:00:00  Important so that you stick to schedule such as one day shoot you would sync them all together to record at the same time - Jam sync Also nicer so that if you have an editor and the director says he likes a clip at a certain time it makes it easier to find and use. Jam sync several cameras same time code 3 sd cards label (write on them A B C ... ) I now understand the use of Time coding it is useful due to when filming with multiple cameras so that every camera is synced and you are filming as well as it is nicer so that if you have an editor and the director says he likes a clip at a certain time it makes it easier to find and use.
